Christian Wijnants x Marion Vidal

For Autumn-Winter 2017, Christian Wijnants decided to join forces with French designer Marion Vidal. After collaborations with Céline, Lacoste and Iris Apfel x Le Bon Marché, the renowned designer worked together with Christian Wijnants. Marion Vidal designed an exclusive capsule collection of four earrings for the Belgian designer’s AW17 collection.

Marion Vidal was born in Montpellier but has been living and working in Paris since the launch of her eponymous brand in 2004. After achieving a degree in architecture (Paris and Milan), she decided to go to Antwerp to study fashion at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Vidal received the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris and designed jewelry for houses like Salviati, Céline, Christofle and Lacoste. In 2011, she opened her own shop near Pigalle in Paris. You will find her collections in prestigious boutiques such as Le Bon Marché in Paris, Gago in Aix-en-Provence and 10 Corso Como in Seoul.

Originally from Brussels, Belgian designer Christian Wijnants left his hometown for Antwerp in 1996 to study fashion in the fashion section of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His graduation collection won the Dries Van Noten Award for Best Collection in 2000. After completing his studies, Wijnants presented his collection at the famous Hyères Festival, where he won the Grand Prix. His label was bought by renowned boutiques such as Colette in Paris. After working at Dries Van Noten, Wijnants launched his own label in 2003. The designer is presenting his collections during the official Paris Fashion Week. His talent for craft knitting and graphic design allowed him to win the International Woolmark Prize 2013, the Andam Award 2006 and the 2005 Swiss Textiles Award. Today, his collections are distributed throughout the world in boutiques such as Le Bon Marché (Paris), Mameg (Beverly Hills), Bird (New York), Bio Top (Tokyo), Tomorrowland (Tokyo) . In September 2015, Christian Wijnants opened his first flagship store, Steenhouwersvest in Antwerp, followed by the webshop
