Briard was one of the most prominent perfumeries of the 18th century, established on Rue Saint-Victor in Paris. And now, this historical house is making a revival using beauty secrets discovered during the Parisian founder’s travels across the world. Revived by Ramdane Touhami, this is the latter’s brand-new and second beauty brand after Buly. “For me, luxury is not only leather handbags and clothes,” confessed Mr. Touhami to the New York Times. Luxury, he added, is “calligraphy, fine food, beautiful décor, authentic details and working with artisans.”

This new beauty label stays true to the historic apothecary’s traditions and Mr. Touhami’s idea of luxury. The packaging and glass vessels are based on the originals. Their Eau de Parfum’s are housed in beautiful bottles and the soaps are individually wrapped in vintage packaging depicting a classical scene used in the authentic advertisements. Other must-haves include the signature ‘Savon Des Papes’ and Briard’s fragranced soap sheet.

After being sold exclusively at Net-à-porter, Briard is now also available at Orlanda.
